Our Clergy

The Rev. Samuel Nsengiyumva

Rector

Fr. Samuel has served as our rector since February 1, 2021. He is passionate about parish ministry and considers it an honor and privilege to be part of our shared life and mission. Prior to coming to Holy Trinity, he served churches in Rwanda, Kenya, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Maryland.  Fr. Samuel was born in Rwanda and grew up in Uganda.  After graduating from High School and apprenticing as an auto-mechanic, he returned to his native Rwanda, where he worked for a tea factory, first as a mechanic and later as a production manager.  During this time, he had a dramatic encounter with Jesus which led him to ministry as a free-lance evangelist and church-planter.  After 10 years with the tea factory, he was invited by the bishop to join the diocesan staff as a guest-house manager. Fr. Samuel is a graduate of Daystar University, an inter-denominational Christian University in Nairobi, Kenya; where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Bible & Religion with minors in Christian Ministry and Community Development. He also holds a Masters degree in Peace Studies (Theology and Ethics) from the Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary in Elkhart, Indiana. Fr. Samuel is married to Marie Rose with whom he is blessed with 4 adult children and 2 grand-children. Rose is active in several ministries at Holy Trinity, including the Choir, Altar Guild, Buildings and Grounds, etc.

The Rev. Charlie Perrin

Deacon

The Rev. Charlie was born and raised in Brooklyn NY as an Episcopalian. He lived there from the late 1940s through the early 1970s. As a child he sang in the Boys Choir at church and was a rabid Dodger fan, until they moved to Los Angeles (a betrayal for which he has never forgiven them). In early 1966, now a rabid Met fan, he enlisted in the Navy, serving on diesel submarines in Charleston SC and Key West FL. At the end of his enlistment, he returned to Brooklyn and went to work for AT&T. By 1979, he was living in Queens. During his 26 years at AT&T he held several positions, beginning as a communications technician, then going on to write code for mainframe computers. He made the transition from main frames to PCs and Local Area networks. The Rev. Charlie also made a Cursillo weekend in 1980 (Long Island #3) after which he finally began to deal with an itch he had had for several years. In 1981, he began the process toward ordination as a deacon. And in December of 1986 he was ordained as a deacon by the Right Reverend Robert C. Witcher 6, the Bishop of the Diocese of Long Island. Over the ensuing years, The Rev. Charlie served at several parishes. He retired from AT&T in 1996 and worked at two different law firms as the Computer Network Manager. In 2004 he retired from his secular employment. And in 2005 he and his wife Angela were married (it was the second marriage for both of them). During his last 3 years up north, The Rev. Charlie served as the Convenor of Deacons for the Diocese while also serving as the Deanery deacon for the Forest Park Deanery. In 2017 he and Angela moved to Legacy development in Leesburg. Later that year he was licensed in the diocese of Central Florida and assigned as the deacon at St. James, Leesburg. Post pandemic they came to Holy Trinity here in Fruitland Park. In 2022, his license was renewed, and he now serves here as one of Holy Trinity’s 2 deacons.

Kathy Wolfe

Business Manager

Kathy is the current part-time Bookkeeper/Payroll Processor for Holy Trinity. She has been in this role since November, 2022. Kathy spent most of her working career in the Business Office for a school district in northwest PA, working her way up from the accounting office to Executive Administrative Assistant to the Business Manager. In 2006 she and her husband decided to follow their two daughters, and they moved to Louisville, KY where she was employed by Humana in their Human Resource Department as an HR Analyst. Once they realized that it still got cold and snowed in Louisville, they decided it was time to move to a warmer climate, so they retired to The Villages where they currently reside, and when she's not working Kathy loves playing pickleball and golf.

Sharon Redding

Director of Music

Sharon was born in Leesburg, Florida and attended the local schools. Music has always been a part of her life, since she started at a very early age. Sharon studied music at Stetson University, in Deland, Florida and the University of South Florida, in Tampa, Florida. Her first tenure at Holy Trinity began in 1969 when she was to be the substitute organist only for the month of December. A funny thing happened, that short substitute position lasted for twenty years! During that time, she was confirmed and made a member of Holy Trinity in 1972. Twelve years later, after a ten-year position as Music Director at a Lutheran Church in Mt. Dora, she returned to Holy Trinity in 2001.....She's still here. There have been many changes, both in the people and priests, but Holy Trinity will always be her “home.”
